With summer fast approaching, you’ll soon have the kids running around, backyard barbecues, fourth of July parties, neighborhood yard sales and the annual pilgrimage to the shore. The last thing you should have to worry about is a problem with your home air conditioning system.
Nothing makes you sweat faster than having a house full of guests when it is warmer inside than out!
Is Air Conditioner Maintenance Necessary?
A properly maintained air conditioning system will not only reduce your electric bill, it will extend the life of your system, and keep your home cool all summer long. To minimize the potential for system failure, RSC Heating & Air Conditioning recommends having your home air conditioning serviced yearly.
If you don’t, you might run into a situation like our service manager Chuck did on vacation, in the heat of a North Carolina summer hoping for the best. Read up on Chuck’s story in his own words below.
An Air Conditioner Failure Problem
Last month, my family and I went to the Outer Banks for a weeklong vacation. The first thing I did when we arrived was check the cooling system. I do this for a living, after all. Not only were the air filters completely clogged, the 3rd floor system wasn’t working at all!
Unfortunately, I had no tools or service parts with me, so feeling helpless, I contacted the company we rented the house from. During our week-long stay, we never received the home ac service needed to resolve the problem!
Thankfully, we only had two very warm days without air conditioning. I’m certain this situation could have been avoided had the owner maintained the system properly. The simple task of replacing your air filter on a regular basis could help you avoid an experience such as this.
It was also eye-opening to experience what it’s like on the other side, as a customer in a very warm, uncomfortable home. It is our guarantee, when dealing with RSC, you’ll never have the same experience, or wait that I did! It has always been our goal to give our customers the prompt, efficient service they deserve.
While Pennsylvania summer temperatures might not reach as high as North Carolina’s do, we know it gets hot here too. So if you live in Elizabethtown, Millersville, or of course Lancaster PA, and you need to have your home air conditioner serviced before temperatures start rising please don’t hesitate to give us a call.
We look forward to meeting all of your home comfort needs.
Sincerely,
Chuck Garrett, Service Manager
